AI Search is here. Is your business ready?

Your business is invisible to AI search. GIA fixes that.

Most businesses have spent years building their online presence. None of it guarantees they show up when someone asks ChatGPT or Gemini. Correm makes sure your business is the answer they get.

Gemini

Search has changed. Most businesses have not.

When someone asks an AI a question today, the AI does not return a list of links. It picks one answer. It names one business. If that business is not yours, the opportunity is gone — and you never knew it existed.

01

AI replaced the first step of every buying decision.

Before someone calls you or visits your website, they are asking an AI. If you are not in that answer, you are not in the consideration.

02

Traditional SEO does not solve this.

A business can rank number one on Google and be completely invisible in AI search. They are different systems requiring different thinking.

03

The gap is growing every month.

Businesses that build AI visibility now will hold it. Those that wait will find it increasingly difficult to break through.

Introducing GIA — Generative Intelligence Architecture

The only complete AI visibility system that combines all three components required to make a brand visible, trusted, and cited inside AI-generated answers.

🏗️
AIO

AI Optimisation

Structures your content so AI systems can read, understand, and trust it. The foundation layer. Without this, nothing else performs.

🎯
GEO

Generative Engine Optimisation

Positions your content to be selected as the AI's answer. This is where brands go from being visible to being cited — named inside AI responses.

🏷️
JSON-LD

You receive:

  • ✦  Current AI visibility score
  • ✦  Specific gaps in your digital presence
  • ✦  Prioritised action plan
2
AIO Implementation
Assessment included

Build the foundation

The Assessment findings feed directly into the implementation plan. AI Optimisation is applied — content is structured for AI readability. JSON-LD Structured Data is built and validated. The complete technical AI visibility foundation is constructed and tested.

You receive:

  • ✦  AI-readable digital presence
  • ✦  Validated JSON-LD Structured Data
  • ✦  Complete implementation documentation
3
GEO Retainer
AIO + Assessment included

Become the answer

A question map is built from every question your ideal customers are asking AI. GEO content is created. Monthly citation audits run across all four AI platforms. Content is updated, created, or restructured based on what the data shows.

Every month:

  • ✦  Citation audits across all 4 AI platforms
  • ✦  Question drift monitoring
  • ✦  Competitive citation analysis
  • ✦  Content action and monthly report

The order is not arbitrary.
It is the system.

You cannot do GEO without AIO. GEO content placed on a site that AI systems cannot properly read underperforms — regardless of how well the content is written. You cannot do AIO without knowing the current state. The Assessment is the diagnostic that tells us exactly what we are building on. Most providers skip straight to content and wonder why citations do not follow. Correm builds the whole architecture — in the right order.

We built Correm because most businesses are about to be left behind.

And most of them do not know it yet. AI search is not a trend to observe. It is a shift to act on — now, while the advantage still exists.

AI visibility, built right.

Correm is an AI-native solutions company registered in Cape Town, South Africa. We help businesses become visible and cited in AI-powered search. We are not a general digital marketing agency. We do one thing: AI visibility.

🎯

We sell outcomes, not mechanisms.

Clients need to understand what changes — not how we make it change. We always lead with what becomes possible.

🏗️

We build the whole system.

Most providers offer one component. We build all three — together — because partial implementation produces partial results.

🔍

We stay small enough to do it well.

We limit our client load to make sure every engagement gets what it needs. Fewer things done properly beats more things done poorly.

🌱

We grow with our clients.

AI search will keep changing. The GEO retainer exists because AI visibility is not a project — it is an ongoing system.

Meet the founders.

Questions we hear often

Do I need to already be doing SEO for GIA to work?
GIA works best alongside existing SEO or content investment. If your content foundation is very thin, we will tell you that in the Assessment and recommend the right starting point.
How is this different from what my SEO agency does?
Your SEO agency optimises for Google rankings. Correm optimises for AI citations. A business can rank number one on Google and be completely invisible in AI search. The two work best alongside each other.
How quickly does GEO produce results?
AIO and structured data changes are reflected relatively quickly. GEO content performance builds over time as topical authority accumulates. Most clients see meaningful citation improvements within 60–90 days.
Can I start with the Assessment and upgrade later?
Yes. The Assessment stands alone and the findings remain relevant. If you decide to move to AIO or GEO after receiving your report, the Assessment cost is credited toward the implementation.

GEO BASICS
What GEO is and how it differs from SEO

What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?
GEO — Generative Engine Optimisation — is the practice of structuring a business's content so that AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude select and name that business when someone asks a question in its category. The goal isn't a ranking. It's a citation: the AI says your business by name, inside its answer, instead of a stranger's.

You can do everything right by the old rules — blog consistently, build backlinks, collect reviews — and still be completely absent the moment someone asks an AI for a recommendation instead of typing into Google. GEO exists because the rules for being found changed, and most businesses haven't changed with them.

How is GEO different from SEO?
SEO gets your business ranked in a list of links. GEO gets your business named as the answer.

Google's search algorithm ranks pages against each other — the user gets ten blue links and decides which to click. An AI system synthesises a single answer and names one or two businesses by name. There's no list to scroll through. You're either in that answer, or you don't exist for that question.

GEO vs SEO — do I need both, or does one replace the other?
You need both. GEO doesn't replace SEO — it builds on it, and a strong SEO foundation makes GEO work faster. AI systems still draw on the broader web, including content that ranks well and is already established as credible. SEO builds the raw material. GEO determines whether that material gets picked up and cited when someone asks an AI directly.

What is AI Optimization (AIO) and why would my business need it?
AIO is the technical and structural layer that makes your content readable and trustworthy to AI systems in the first place. It comes before GEO content can work. If your content is unstructured or ambiguous, even well-written GEO content underperforms. Without AIO, the AI literally cannot extract clear facts about your business to cite — no amount of good writing fixes a foundation problem.

AIO vs GEO — which one should I do first?
AIO comes first. The order isn't a preference — it's a dependency. AIO establishes whether an AI system can read, understand, and trust what's on your site. GEO is what gets you cited once that foundation exists. Doing GEO before AIO is like writing a brilliant answer and handing it to someone who can't read the language it's written in.

What is structured data / JSON-LD and why does it matter for AI search?
Structured data — most commonly JSON-LD — is a standardised, machine-readable format that states facts about a business explicitly: what it is, what it offers, where it operates, how to contact it. It matters because it removes ambiguity. Instead of an AI inferring what your business does from prose or page layout, structured data hands it the facts directly. An AI system that isn't confident about your business won't cite you.
AI VISIBILITY
Why am I invisible in AI search?

Why does my business rank well on Google but never get mentioned by ChatGPT?
Your business can rank #1 on Google and still be invisible in AI search because the two systems are solving completely different problems. Google ranks pages and shows you ten options. An AI system picks one answer and names it. Ranking well in a list doesn't mean anything if there's no list — only a single name gets said out loud.

How do AI search engines like ChatGPT and Gemini decide which businesses to mention?
AI systems decide which business to name based on three things: whether the content clearly answers the question being asked, whether the business's facts are stated unambiguously enough to trust and repeat, and whether the source carries enough signals of credibility to be worth citing. A page that ranks well because of backlink volume but never directly states what the business does gives the AI nothing concrete to cite.

How does ChatGPT pick one answer instead of showing a list of links?
ChatGPT synthesises a single answer by pulling from the small number of sources it trusts most for that specific question, then naming the business those sources identify most clearly and confidently. This is why visibility in AI search is binary in a way Google rankings never were. On Google, ranking #11 still gets you found. In an AI answer, there's no page two. You're named, or you're not in the conversation.

Why does ChatGPT recommend my competitor instead of me when we offer the same thing?
If a competitor offers the same thing and gets named instead of you, it almost always comes down to clarity, not quality. The AI isn't judging whose business is better — it's judging whose content most directly and unambiguously answers the specific question being asked. A competitor with clearer structured data and more direct answers will get cited over a business with a better product but vaguer, more promotional content.

Why do I never get mentioned by name in AI answers, even for questions about exactly what I do?
Being a topical match isn't enough. If your content describes what you do in marketing language rather than direct, answerable statements — if a reader or AI has to infer your specialty rather than read it stated outright — the AI has nothing clean to extract and repeat. AI systems cite content that answers questions directly, not content that's merely about the right topic.

Why do some businesses show up in AI answers and others don't?
The businesses that show up consistently share three things: their content directly answers the questions their customers are actually asking, their facts are stated in a structured and unambiguous way an AI can read with confidence, and that content is current. Businesses that are invisible usually have at least one of these missing — often all three. None of this is about size, budget, or brand recognition.
THE ASSESSMENT
Finding out where you stand

How do I find out if my business currently shows up in AI search at all?
Ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude direct questions about your business and your category, the way a customer would. Ask "who does [what you do] in [your area]," ask the platform to describe your company, and ask for a recommendation in your category without naming yourself. If your business doesn't come up — or comes up vaguely or inaccurately — you have your answer.

This self-check is a useful first pass, but it only tells you that you're invisible, not why. A full Assessment goes further: it audits your current AI visibility across all four platforms and produces a specific, prioritised list of what's stopping you from being cited.

What's the first step to improving my AI search visibility?
The first step has to be finding out exactly what AI systems can currently see about your business — because every later step depends on that starting point. You can't fix structured data, rewrite content, or build a citation strategy without knowing which of those is actually broken. Skipping straight to content creation without first diagnosing the gap is the most common mistake businesses make.

What does an AI visibility assessment actually include?
An AI visibility assessment audits your business across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude to establish exactly what each platform currently knows — and doesn't know — about you. The process runs in three parts: a direct audit of how your business currently appears when each platform is asked relevant questions; a review of your existing content and structured data; and a gap analysis that turns those findings into a prioritised action plan. What you walk away with is a current AI visibility score, a concrete list of gaps, and a diagnosis — not a sales pitch.

Do I need an SEO audit and an AI visibility audit, or just one?
You need both if you haven't already confirmed your SEO foundation is solid — but they're checking different things, so one doesn't substitute for the other. An SEO audit checks how well your site is positioned to rank in Google's link-based results. An AI visibility audit checks whether AI systems can read your content clearly enough to cite it. A business can pass an SEO audit cleanly and still fail an AI visibility audit entirely.
CHOOSING A PROVIDER
Choosing the right AI visibility provider

What should I look for when choosing an AI visibility or GEO provider?
Look for a provider that builds all three components of AI visibility — technical readability, content that directly answers customer questions, and structured data — rather than one piece in isolation. Ask whether they monitor citations monthly or only audit once. Ask whether they can show you platform-specific evidence about how your business currently appears across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude individually. A provider who can only speak to one of these is solving part of the problem.

How does a full AI visibility system compare to just adding some schema markup myself?
Schema markup alone helps AI systems parse facts about your business more accurately — but it doesn't make your content the chosen answer, and it doesn't track whether you're actually being cited. A full system adds two things schema markup can't do by itself: content structured to answer the specific questions your customers ask, and ongoing monitoring that tells you whether any of it is working. Schema markup without that content and monitoring is a foundation with nothing built on top of it.

Should I ask my existing marketing agency to add AI visibility, or hire a specialist?
This depends on whether your existing agency genuinely understands the mechanical difference between SEO and AI visibility, or is relabelling existing SEO work as "AI optimization" without changing the underlying approach. Ask directly: how do they audit AI platforms specifically, do they monitor citations across all four major platforms individually, and can they show evidence of the difference between ranking and being cited. If the answer is vague or the work looks identical to standard SEO with new terminology, you're better served by a specialist.

What's the difference between a one-off AI visibility audit and an ongoing retainer?
A one-off audit tells you where you stand right now. An ongoing retainer keeps you visible as the landscape changes. AI platforms update what they know about businesses, competitor content shifts, and the questions people ask in your category change over time — all of which can erode a citation you'd already earned. An audit alone diagnoses a moment in time. Without ongoing monitoring, a citation earned today isn't guaranteed to hold six months from now.

Is it better to fix my structured data myself or hire someone to do it?
If you're comfortable with code and willing to validate your work against tools like Google's Rich Results Test, structured data is something you can implement yourself — it's a defined, learnable format. Where this tends to go wrong is accuracy and completeness: structured data has to precisely match what's actually on your page, stay current, and be validated correctly, and small errors can make it ineffective without being obvious. Hiring someone makes more sense when you want that accuracy guaranteed as part of a larger system.

What proof is there that GEO actually works and isn't just a buzzword?
GEO is grounded in a verifiable, structural fact about how AI search works: AI platforms now overlap less than 20% with Google's top results, which means a business's Google ranking tells you almost nothing about whether it appears in AI-generated answers. That gap is the entire reason GEO exists as a discipline, and it's why a business can rank #1 on Google while a direct competitor with weaker SEO gets named in ChatGPT instead. The underlying mechanism it addresses is not in dispute.
GETTING CITED
Getting cited and staying cited

How do I get my business mentioned by name when people ask AI for recommendations?
You earn a named citation through three things working together: a technical foundation that lets AI systems read your content accurately, content that directly and completely answers the questions your customers are actually asking, and structured data that states the facts about your business without ambiguity. Miss any one of these and the others underperform.

In practice: first, make sure your site's technical structure is AI-readable — clear headings, direct statements, no critical information buried in design elements. Second, build content that answers the specific questions your customers ask AI, with the answer stated up front rather than implied. Third, add JSON-LD that tags exactly what your business is, what it offers, and where it operates.

How do I monitor whether AI platforms are citing my business correctly over time?
Monitoring means regularly checking how your business is described and named across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude — not just whether you're mentioned, but whether what's said about you is accurate. This typically runs monthly: auditing citations across all four platforms, checking whether the questions people ask in your category have shifted, and watching what competitors are being cited for. Being cited once isn't permanent. AI systems update what they know, competitor content changes, and the questions people ask shift over time.
What is "question drift" and why would I need to monitor it?
Question drift is the way the questions people ask AI about a topic or business change over time. The exact phrasing, the angle, the level of specificity — all of it shifts as a market or category evolves. You need to monitor it because content built to answer last year's most common questions can quietly stop matching what people are actually asking now, even though nothing on your page changed. A business that was cited reliably six months ago can lose that citation simply because the questions moved and the content didn't.

How long does it take to start showing up in AI search results after working on this?
There's no fixed universal timeline, because it depends on how far your starting point is from the destination — but the sequence is predictable. Technical foundation work typically shows measurable change first, since that's a structural fix rather than a content build. Citation in actual AI answers follows once both the foundation and the direct-answer content are in place, and continues to strengthen as monitoring catches and fixes gaps month over month. Businesses starting from zero structured data and no direct-answer content should expect a multi-month process — but a business with strong existing content that's simply unstructured can often see foundation-level changes within weeks.
